Teaching Children about Inequalities & Social Injustices

It’s never too young to start educating our children about the rich and complex history of South Africa and how we can promote positive change as a nation.

Recently I took part in a Social Injustices course by the incredible @thegreenbuildingqueen . Vere was asked a question on how we can teach our children about privilege and social injustice. Her answer was beautiful, suggesting that we shouldn’t teach our children to be ‘color blind’.
This only further instills turning a blind eye to the injustices right in-front of us. Model behavior that you want your children to learn; teach them that not every race, culture, color, age and gender are the same person. Point out to your kids when you see a rich black person or a poor white person and show them that stereotypes are not reality and assumptions are a thing of the past. Make an effort to speak to people that ARE DIFFERENT to you. Model this behavior for your kids and you will not be sorry. Our kids are the future. Make sure that we are raising warriors who fight for equality. Our children are the future.

Are you looking for tips on how to raise children who are socially fair, loving and accepting? We recommend our Gold Package for this! We will provide you with activities that will empower you as well as your child to be more aware of injustices in the world we live in today. Awareness is the beginning of any form of change!
